‘God is so good’ was always one of Mom’s favourite sayings, so much so that when I wrote her biography I titled it..GOD IS SO GOOD.
On Mothers Day, my wife and I and my older brother Ronald will visit Mom’s burial site and see her newly installed monument.
In the Fall of 2023 when I visited Mom, I saw what pityful shape her original ‘pillow monument’ was. It was put there in 2011.
I stood there looking down at it, weeping inside, and saying to myself: “Mom deserves much, much better than this.”
So I began the process in early 2024 to acquire a new monument for our precious Mother, “Leona”.

As we examine the front of the monument, in the centre we see the Cross. Beneath it the Holy Bible and the Praying hands.
At the foot of the Cross are three Roses, symbol of Love.
Mom was a woman of Faith. She had a great devotion to Our Lord Jesus Christ and Mother Mary. Mom prayed the Rosary every day. If you read “The Power of a Mother’s Prayers” you will see many examples of this.
So, to our precious Mother and all Mothers, I say: “Happy Mother’s Day”.
“I wish you all a joy-filled Mother’s Day. May God bless each one of you a hundred-fold for all the hours, all the work, for all the tears, and for all the prayers you have invested in raising your children.”
And to Mom, I say: “You will never be forgotten–this monument attests to this.
Thank you dearest Mom and Dad, for the ‘Gift of LIFE’ and all your tender loving care while raising us four boys.
