Soon it will be Halloween.
I was asked recently: “Do you like Halloween? I love it!”
I answered: “I hate Halloween! It is the Feast of the Devil!”
As a Christian, I declare that the greatest Feast of the year is Christmas, when we celebrate the Birth, the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
As time goes on the Feast of Christmas, of our Saviour’s birth, is being shunned, and Halloween is increasing in popularity.
Such is the state of the world today.
People are ‘shunning God’ more and more! Lord have Mercy.
On Halloween night we see what you see behind me (a 12 foot skeleton) and below me (skeletons coming out of their graves) everywhere.
We see human skeletons and skulls–symbols of ‘Death’.
Sooner or later, each one of us will look like this. (I show a human skull)
We will be DEAD!
But what happens at death? In the Bible, in Hebrews 9:27, God’s Word says: “For it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the Judgment.”
Right after death, our soul leaves our body and we appear ‘alone’, before the Judgment seat of Jesus Christ.
Many people have ‘died’, and come back to ‘life’.
Two notable people are a Dr. Gloria Polo, a dentist, and a priest, Fr. Steven Scheier. Please google their testimonies. They were both given a ‘2nd chance’ when they appeared before the Judgment seat of Christ.
Before ‘you’, “I’, die we need to answer this extremely important question:
“Do you know Jesus Christ?”
“Jesus said: I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh to the Father but through Me.”
John 14:6
Be wise…be prepared before ‘your’ Day of Judgment’ comes.
I close with this: “We cannot begin to imagine the extent of God’s love for each of us.
In John 3:16 (while holding the Cross)
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him may not perish, but have everlasting life.”
