Most Crucifixes today have a ‘sanitized’ Jesus on them. It should not be so.
Please let me explain.
For thirtheen years now, (since 2012) I have been wearing a St. Benedict Cross with a ‘sanitized’ Jesus on it, accompanied by the Miraculous Medal, every day as part of my Christian witness to the ‘world’.
A few days ago an elderly man on the bus said to me: “I love your Cross, but, it is too sanitized! A Cross should have a ‘bloody’ Jesus on it, because Jesus was totally disfigured, bruised, torn apart and bleeding horrendously as he hung on the Cross!”
I responded: “Yes, you are perfectly correct.”
The next day I determined to replace my sanitized metal, St. Benedict Cross with a wooden Crucifix and it will show a ‘bloody’ Jesus.

Today, if you go in a Catholic Church it is very rare to be able to see a Cross with a ‘bloody’ Jesus; they have a ‘sanitized’ Jesus on them.
Also on the internet I tried to find and buy a five inch high Cross with a bloody Jesus–none to be found.
Today, we live in a very sinfull, evil world, a very pagan world, for the most part.
The people of the world drastically need to know ‘Jesus’ and appreciate what He went through in His Passion in order to save us from Hell and open Heaven’s door to those of us who choose to follow Him as our Lord and Savior.
A bloodyJesus, seen by the public will ‘awaken’ the conscience of some sinners and save their souls.
In the Bible it says: “For God so loved the world, as to give His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him may not perish, but may have life everlasting” (John 3:16)
My bloody Jesus on my new Cross will surely bring hatred and persecution my way, but by God’s Grace, I will prevail.
I encourage other Christians to consider wearing a ‘bloody Jesus’ around their neck for everyone to see and save souls.
Pray, be bold, be loving, wear the ‘bloody Jesus’ and God will do the rest.
I finish with an important saying: “The walls have ears and the windows have eyes.”
It is another way to say, there is always someone watching and listening.
NOTE:
I started wearing my new ‘bloody’ Cross on the Feast Day (October 1st) of St.Teresa of the Child Jesus.
Her photos show her holding a large Cross and roses in her arms.
For the saving of souls,
